After getting an early taste at Sommelier, I had been looking forward to spending a little more time with the 2017 Jezreel Rosé. A blend of 45% Carignan, 40% Syrah and 15% Sauvignon Blanc, the bottle clocks in at 12.5% alcohol.
On the nose some floral notes followed by some raspberry and I wanna say plum with a touch of funk. In the mouth watermelon, strawberry and raspberry followed at the end with some stone fruit all wrapped up in a package of bracing acidity which carries all the way through.
Overall it’s a winner and might even be a touch better than the 2016 IMHO. Nice Job!
Bottom Line:
- Price: NIS 70
- For Aging: No
- Would I Buy Again: Yes
- QPR Rating: Average
- Taste/Depth/Quality: Good +
- Overall Rating (1-5): 3.5
